NY Connects

CIDNY’s NY Connects program is a free, trusted place to go for information about services and resources that support people with disabilities. We work with New Yorkers of all ages and with any type of disability whether they live at home, in a nursing home, or another residential setting.

NY Connects at CIDNY is committed to serving you during the coronavirus outbreak. We are working hard to help people with disabilities and older adults access benefits, proper information about city and state changes, food and peer support resources, and more. Our counselors are available from 9 am until 5 pm, Monday through Friday if you call 1-844-862-7930.

Our staff are based in each of New York City’s five boroughs and can provide person-centered benefits counseling including eligibility screening processes for benefits and services. We can help you complete applications and enroll in:

SNAP applications / food assistance

Public assistance benefits, like Medicaid and Medicare

Social Security benefits, and more.

Housing applications including supportive housing applications
